The planning permit process can be time-consuming. Depending on the complexity of the application, it may take between 3 to 6 months. Each council is different, so timelines may vary.

In most cases, we can build a Granny Flat or Small Second Dwelling (SSD) on your property. Contact us with your site address, and we’ll advise you on the feasibility.

Once the contract, working drawings, and specifications are signed and provided to our supervisor, construction of a Transportable Home typically takes 18–20 weeks, while a Granny Flat usually takes 16–18 weeks.

Yes, all buildings require a building permit. Todd Devine Homes will take care of this process for you.

On-site installation typically takes 2 to 3 weeks, depending on the design.

Covenants are restrictions registered on the land’s certificate of title. They may limit activities such as quarrying, restrict building materials and colours, or limit the number of dwellings on the land. It’s essential to check for covenants before purchasing property.

An easement is the right of a specified party to use a defined section of another person’s land without owning it—most commonly to protect utility providers’ access to infrastructure such as sewer or stormwater mains. In some cases, building over an easement is possible if there are no assets within it, but if assets are present, approval is less likely. Applications to build over easements require a small fee and usually take a few weeks to process.

We build on stumps, concrete slabs, and screw piles, depending on the soil classification.

The maximum transport width is 5.4m (measured from gutter to gutter), the maximum transport length is 17.5m, and the maximum transport height is 4.2m (measured from the underside of the floor joist to the top of the roof).
