How Long Does It Take to Build a Modular Home?
One of the biggest advantages of modular homes is the speed of construction. From placing an order to final delivery, the process takes approximately six months (this can depend on the client’s selections and permits). The actual facility build time is about 12 weeks, depending on the design’s complexity. Once the home is ready, installation on-site takes roughly 2 weeks, ensuring you can move in quickly.
What Are the Transport Limitations?
Our modular homes are built with transportability in mind. Here are the maximum transport dimensions:
- Width: 5.4 meters (gutter to gutter)
- Length: 18.5 meters
- Height: 4.2 meters (from the underside of the floor joist to the top of the roof)
Due to VicRoads regulations, transporting two pieces on one truck is not currently possible.
What External and Internal Finishes Are Available?
We offer a variety of finishes to ensure your home meets your design expectations while maintaining durability and aesthetic appeal:
External finishes: Multiple lightweight cladding options are available, with James Hardie lightweight products working exceptionally well with our designs.
Internal finishes: Painted plasterboard walls and ceilings, with flooring options including carpet, hybrid vinyl plank, and tiles. Tiles are also used for shower enclosures and splashbacks.
Can I Customise My Modular Home Design?
Yes! While we provide recommended designs to ensure transportability and compliance, we can advise you on your designs to align with transport regulations and customer expectations.
Do You Build on Stumps and Concrete Slabs?
Yes, we build on stumps, concrete slabs, and screw piles, with the choice dependent on soil classification at your site.
What Warranties Do You Offer?
We stand by the quality of our modular homes and offer the following warranties:
- 3-month defects warranty (following the ‘Guide to Standards and Tolerances’)
- 2-year non-structural warranty
- 7-year structural warranty
What About Decks and External Steps?
Decks are built on-site as part of our complexing works.
External steps are included as a standard feature, typically provided as painted, treated pine steps.
